Kuranda- Butterfly Sanctuary

Home to over 1500 beautiful native and exotic tropical butterflies, Kuranda Butterfly Sanctuary is the largest free-flight butterfly aviary in Australia. 

Visitors to the sanctuary can get up close and personal to the butterflies on a walk through the main aviary, learn about the species through a range of experiences such as immersive educational exhibits, a museum and guided tours through the aviary and breeding laboratory.

Admission to the sanctuary, including a guided aviary and laboratory tour, starts at $20 per Adult, $10 per Child (or $50 for 2 Adults and 2 Children). Bookings may be made ahead of time online, or tickets may be purchased at the entrance.
