Paronella Park

Paronella Park

Paronella Park was built by a spanish emigrant, Jose Paronella, and opened to the public in 1935. After his death, the park was passed through the Paronella family until it was sold to Mark and Judy Evans who undertook renovations and restorations to reopen the park to the public.

The park is 20km (approx 20 minutes) from Innisfail and admission includes a 30 minute guided tour during the day and a 45 minute night tour at 6.15pm

Park highlights:

  • Spanish and Moorish inspired architecture and tropical gardens
  • Native wildlife throughout the park including birds and butterflies
  • Tropical Plants, both native and exotic
  • Waterfalls and hydro-electric plant (which powers the entire park)

Admission costs: 

  • Adults: $50
  • Pensioners: $45
  • Children (5-15): $28
  • Family (2 Adults & 2 Children under 15): $146
  • Family: (2 Adults & 3 Children under 15): $156
