Mamu Tropical Skywalk

Mamu Tropical Skywalk

The Mamu Tropical Skywalk is just 30 minutes from Innisfail, and comprises of 2.5km (return) of walkways and lookouts that allow you to explore the forest floor and rainforest canopy, as well as take in breathtaking views from the Cantilever and Observation tower. 

Lucky visitors may also get to spot many types of native rainforest dwelling birds and animals, with 150 species of native birds living in the Wooroonooran National Park.

To explore all the features the Mamu Tropical Skywalk has to offer, allow one hour minimum to complete the whole length, but an extra half hour to an hour is recommended to fully enjoy the scenery and take rest stops.

Considerations to make before visiting:

  • Mobile reception is unreliable
  • BYO insect repellent and sunscreen
  • BYO cameras and binoculars
  • In bad weather, the Skywalk may close in the interest of public safety, check weather alerts or contact the Mamu Tropical Skywalk to confirm closures
  • Drone usage is only acceptable under strict conditions and by prior arrangement
